For reasons that are bound to the open web of destinys many pathways and crossroads, I have started a journey, a life odyssey, towards goals to me unknown.
It all started as I moved from the city core, to a far away little village. Or to be more specific, even outside that villlage, where the concrete road turns to mud road.
Out here, far away from the city I loved, I live the life I always wanted to live.
This morning I woke up in my sofa, in a sea of stuffed animals, due to the loud noise that comes around as the local woodpecker Harvey makes his morning visit. Harvey eats from the bird food that I have hanged up outside my window. Woodpeckers have only one way to eat. They slam their head back and forth as they tear the food apart. That makes noises that almost can wake the dead. But I like it. The Dendrocopos leucotos, is a magnificent bird.
Such a beautiful bird, a flying little dinosaur. I love birds, dinosaurs and soft toys.
Stockholm - 2006 10 29 The weather is ever changing here. As I woke up this morning, it was early morning frost and icy cold outside. Funny cause I still remember how the deer was resting so peaceful at the same spot, in the warm morning sun, just one day ago. Winter is coming. I should go out for a walk and buy some new books to lock myself in with, for the winter hibernation.
As I look out the window I am thinking about what I read last evening. I read something that I was unaware of until now, that the golf stream stopped for 10 days in 2004. The global warming is scary. And in the world politics the environmental issues are way to forgotten. Instead we tend to focus on issues that are draining our powers away from the real threats. The world is terror and anti terror. The so called atom bomb balance shifts again and religion and occult beliefs are finally the hottest issues on the tabloids.
Well it’s really time for me to get our for a Sunday walk now. Got to solve the world problems later.. a good walk always makes my mind clear.
Stockholm 2006 10 28
I am truly in love with the city I live in.
It’s a love hate relation.. of course.
Still, to me, as an artist and creative person, this town truly has many things that I demand and need. It has a psyche that gives me strength and inspires me.
Even thought winter here is bitter and nature sometimes makes you feel small and isolated, it’s the very same closeness to nature that makes me stay here. Even though I have been living abroad for periods, I tend do come back. It’s the call of nature.
This morning when I woke up, and was about to take a morning bath, I glanced out my window. And to my joy (not surprise) there was a family of deer animals resting on the little mound behind my house. They stayed there for about half an hour.. just resting, ignoring me as I opened up the window and stuck out the camera.
Stockholm is wonderful and life here is in many ways so different from other capitols of the world, in fact it just happens to be a cluster of small city’s, to be found along islands and coastlands, forming on city, in the middle of Sweden’s flourishing nature.
